The scientific research is done on the following directions:
micro processed hardware equipment
software for the process management
applications for the management
modeling and simulation of machines, equipments and systems
software for the management of industrial robots and flexible lines
the system control of the industrial processes in general and particularly from the mining industry
solutions for the implementing of the production of the clean energy for a sustainable development
The department had research contracts with the Ministry of Research and Technology and with the economic enterprises. In the year 2001, the department obtained a research contract financed by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), Germany. In the same year, CNCSIS accredited the Research Center of the Department called Methods and Software techniques for the Intelligent Management of Electrical Drives with Asynchronous Machine with Applications in the Mining Industry. Every year the members of the department took part in the national and international congresses.
