The Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is chronologically the second faculty founded within this high education institution.

For years and according to the course offer, the name of the faculty has changed many times; if at the beginning, in 1957, in was named The Faculty of Mining Electro mechanics, since 2003 it has been called The Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

The Faculty is 47 years old. During all this time it has provided the Romanian economy highly qualified specialists with a good preparation in the fields of mechanics, electricity and automatics. .
